Auditorium Ente Cassa di Risparmio, Via Folco Portinari

The Auditorium Folco Portinari of Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze has ancient origins and was part of the hospital of Santa Maria Nuova with the adjoining building of the Archive of Notaries. The architecture and decorations in neo-medieval characterize it, including strong stone façade, dating back to that period. In the mid 70s the environment with all the storage rooms was acquired by the Ente Cassa di Risparmio of Florence. In 1975 it was installed the largest organ designed by Master Clemente Terni. Today, the auditorium hosts many events and concerts, among these, “I Mercoledì Musicali di ECRF”, an International Festival of Organ Music, under the Artistic Direction of Maestro Giuseppe Lanzetta.
